I have tried the JTM1 offset with cab. I found the It was very similar to the C5 to my ears, but with limited tonal shaping variation. The C5 can be a bit bass muddy, but the mid and treble controls work well. I run the C5 with the bass no higher than 9 o'clock, mid and treble on 10.

Have not tried the other amps listed.

Hi crunch_sound, there is much information and sound clips on this forum of the 1 watt amps in the 50th anniversary section. My advice is for you to listen to some clips of the JTM1 and JMP1 to find which one you like.

SV20 Plexi, JTM45, YJM plexi, KK800, JTM60, JTM1, JMP1, JCM1, DSL1, JVM1.

clips are not reality

jmp1 sounded fantastic but i played with it: it was with no relief, no dirty sound, no beauty too

and sometimes a jcm1 is what i like

Crunch sounds, what amp do you currently have?
I know you have asking and looking for quite a while on the Marshall forum.
The JCM1 is nothing like the Class5. If you already have the C5 and it is too loud, then also know that the 1 watters are also quite loud for bedroon use.
If you need the amp to be quiter, than an attenuator is the way to go, or get an amp modeller (Line 6 POD HD for example)thru some powered monitors.
