Tube swap

I see here many guys have changed their tubes on MA, apparently makes it sound better
Just how much the sound is changed, this is my first tube amp and I don't know how big is difference between stock tubes and some "better" ones.
Is there a way to explain benefits in sound you guys got after tube swapping? Better distortion, cleaner sounds....? And ofcourse, what tubes you have cooking inside now?

Well, I don't have an MA but i do have an orange dual terror which i changed the tubes over when i got it. I'd imagine the effects may be similar.

I put JJs in there and chucked out the stock ones. the improvements where great. it sounds sweeter, less harsh, i found more high end detail, more rich, chords are more articulate and don't turn to mush at higher gain setting.


I'm not sure how similar it'll be with an MA but it should def improve it!

Ok , I'll try with preamp tubes first, and see what happens.
