Revoiced Gain?

Hi All - Read that MA heads made after May 2010 are revoiced to increase the gain response at lower volumes. Just bought a 2009 model a week ago and didn't know about this information until after the purchase. Does anyone know how much the gain has been altered, how it sounds compared to the 2009 head and if it's worth it to get the revoiced model? I play both at home and at gigs.
