Welcome to the forum dk2. :Thumbs

Look after it and it should give you good service.

Try a clean boost in the FX loop for a great solo boost!

Lot's of people use an EQ pedal which enables you to select the frequencies you boost.

The Marshall Bluesbreaker II pedal has a clean boost mode as well as a typical OD circuit in one compact stomp box. A big favourite of Chris George's and very reasonably priced too. :yea

There can be a little noise when changing channels but it shouldn't be a loud intrusive pop.

The AX is a mid budget version of the G12T-75 so yes there should be a notable improvement.

35 to 38 is the recommended range. :Thumbs

Hello DK2

I have a MA100C and I love it more and more day after day !

I had also had bias ajustment issue and I bough this amp brand new. The Bias was over tolerance past 80mA insted of 76mA. Re-adjusting the bias did improved the sound greatly. I guess this is due to transport and climatic changes. Since this amp is build in Vietnam and it ended up in Canada. That's a very long trip no ? : )

One thing YOU MUST KNOW with those amps. The loader you play, the better they sound. Even with the stock speakers ! You wont enjoy your amp playing at appartment levels, It doesn't sound good at all !
Sorry Marshall MA fans lolll you will have to crank the volume to enjoy it.
But as soon that you crank that volume on the hot(red) channel wow ! I love using my amp during gigs and band practices.
The clean boost pedal in the effect loop DOES work pretty good and this is what I use to improve the overdrive channel.
Enjoy ! Ciao

Hi dk2 , I have MA100C , and as said before, crank the sucker and enjoy Marshall roar. :party

My SD-1 pedal set for clean boost is always on in effects loop, and I have EQ pedal in front for preamp boosting , and it sounds amazing. I will probably change the speakers, but stock ones are not that bad either, just suited more to metal and modern heavy music.

Just plug it into one of the 8 ohm outputs instead of the 16 ohm output.
