Thanks for the invite.
I'll be sure to take you up on it next time I visit London. :bgrin

I did read this a while ago

Paul: "That's so interesting, Binky. I went to see Perry and I said, 'Oh, you have a Wallace.' His head swung 'round. He said, 'You know about these?!' I said, 'Oh yeah, Koss used to have one. Used it a lot in the studio.' and Perry was very impressed."

I never really knew what a Wallace amp was?? But here in this Paul Rodgers interview it clearly coincides with what you've said.
That's amazing.

What's the spec on the amp?
Is it EL34 based? And are they 10" speakers?

I've got to get searching for these on eBay :D

It's a 2x12 cab, not an amp. They were mostly made in heads.

It's a small world. Paul gave the cab that is with me to Perry. It's at my place because I loaned Perry an 18 watt Marshall for the Albert Hall gig with Paul, and the Wallace needed a home before being shipped out to Perry in NYC.

It was a cool gig. I got to chat with Mick R too about his old 'burst that I now own.

Wow that's a great story.
I heard every time Mick bought a guitar he always had to make some tweeks to customise it to his specs. Ie replace the tuners to chrome etc I don't know how true that was but him and Rodgers made great music.
Ready for love being my favourite track.
But I'm more of a "free" guy. Above zep, cream... All the old groups, free was the one.
Rodgers has a great, if not the best rock n roll voice I've heard.
And Paul kossoffs frantic use of vibrato is some of the best guitar playing.

Out of interest what speakers are in that wallace?
I've just done a bit of web surfing and found it was a bit of pioneering wasn't it?
Going way back to 1938?
Ted wallace was making guitar amps before most here in the uk from what I read.
