only one speaker 30w for a JTM45 ?

Postby dakisof » 19 May 2015, 02:00

Hi,
I play on a JTM45 THW with KT66.
If I use it, only clean at 2-3 on volume (max 11 o'clock), do you think that I can use it with a 1x12" cab with a Celestion G12 Heritage 30w 55hz ?
If i'm not mistaken, the output of this head is only 30w ?
Do you think the speaker could support this head at low volume level ?
A such use could damage the amp ? the speaker ?

Regards

David

Yes you will be fine, the 2245 is a 30 watt amp. The Celestion speakers are rated conservativly.

You can use an attenuator too, if you set your attenuator to -3db, you will reduce output power by half I think.
