I would use the treble booster (into the 'bottom right' input), then knock the top end off at the guitar's tone pot (the "woman tone" setting), ending up with just the mids boosted.

Lucky enough to have played with EC for 1 year 1999
I have three ltd edition Bluesbrakers (100 made, exact copies of original)
The way you get the sound is everything up full with a Les Paul in treble input.
That's it.
