JH100 Dead quiet on top LH input and noisy on RH input

Postby Steve Snider » 25 Mar 2013, 23:27

Is there a specific preamp tube related to the second input?

The amp sounds incredible.

Thanks.

I'm not sure about that and I didn't compare L and R inputs.

However, a while back I noticed that one of my JH heads had more noise/buzz than the other.
I ended up moving the green wire on V2 which eliminated the noise.

Guitars - Les Paul Standard, ES-335, 62 Strat RI, 85 MIJ Squier Tele, Guild D55
Effects - Picture Wah, Octafuzz, Sunface NKT, KOT, KR Boost, MDV-2, DM-2

I replaced all three with Chinese from the early 90s. Those are great preamp tubes.
