JCM 800 4104: What ohms is ext. speaker out?

Postby TubeStack » 02 Aug 2012, 06:48

Hey guys

I'm looking at picking up a JCM 800 4104. What ohms is the external speaker out? It's a Canadian model with the metal toggle power & standby switches.

I'm hoping I'll be able to connect it to my 1960BX cab, either together with the 4104’s speakers working, or with just the cab speakers working. The 1960BX only runs at 16 ohms.

Thanks!

This manual says 4/8/16 *but* I do know some of those Canadian versions only have 4/8 ohm outs on them for some reason (CSA approval at the time I think).

I think you'll have to see it to be sure.
