majik vs. suhr

Playing hard rock with a jcm 800 2203x and trying to decide between the Majik Box Rocket Fuel or the Suhr KoKo Boost? I'm the only guitarist in this band and I like a thick well rounded fat tone....I'm not able to A/B these two, so am wondering y'alls thoughts on the two? Thanks in advance!

Also, I'm currently using the Mxr custom badass modified od to push my amp. I like this pedal, but still feel like I'm missing something!

I would say get neither and stick with the MXR. I have that pedal and a 2204. I play a Les Paul and run the rig through a 4x12 with G12-65's and it sounds amazing. Set the amp and pedal up like the following:

Presence: Off - 0.5

Bass: 6-7

Middle: 9.5

Treble: 3.5 - 4

Master: To taste, preferably 2 or above

Preamp: (I set mine to 4.5 but mine is modded with an extra gain tube) set the Pre to the point where it just starts to bypass the treble peak circuit and you are getting a nice raunch out of it. On a stocker I would say about 7. You don't want it at 10 because it gets barky.

ON THE PEDAL

Bump button ON

Tone at about 10:30 - 11:00

100k at 1:00

Drive at 8:00ish. Just enough to add a bit more whump to the signal.

Output Level at 1:00 to 2:00
