Made a demo a few years back .... kind of regret selling it when listening to this again.
Wow... That sounds awesome. I wouldn't mind saving that sound file because I actually like that better than the KISS record! How could I get a copy??
I think I have the audio file somewhere .. i'll put in on Dropbox and PM you the link

The SL-X is a one channel amp with two footswitchable master volumes.

There is a treble knob. And if you turn up the preamp volume it's not so trebly.

The SL/X is no brighter than any other classic Marshall. It's wide open, that's what it is. If you want a Marshall that isn't, you can look at the Jubilees which are voiced darker or the more modern stuff which has more thickness in the lows with the resonance dials etc. Personally I like my Marshalls to sound like Marshalls.

Like I said before, nobody ever complains that Channel 2C is too bright on the 6100. I avoided the SLX for years because people said it was too gainy and too bright. Complete nonsense on the gain front as well, I never came across an amp that offered more flexibilty over your gain structure. Glad I ignored the hype because now I have a new favourite Marshall and they're still cheap until everybody realises...

I'm looking at getting a 6100 next actually... had three before and I miss them :)
