REALL thinking about throwing some cash at this guy..

What do you all think?
I think instead of a pedal I might just buy another amp. I've been saving up for a car, but I can spend 1500 and wait alittle longer for a car :P

Plus, I got FAT GAS on getting some new gear.

Either this amp, or a JCM 2000 DSL 100 watt. Not too sure though.

I just got a used 2204 this week in good condition. Mine is a 1985 with horisontal inputs just like yours. The vertical inputs is supposed to be a little more in demand for various reasons (google it and you get the exact explanation) Don't think they sound that much different though. The JCM 800 is my favorite Marshall. No amp sounds like it. I am going to have mine retubed to KT-88's which will give the amp evene more omph ... but El-34's will do as well. All about personal preference.

The DSL (I have one of those as well) is also a good choice. A little more versatile as it's a 2 channel amp so if channel switching is a must than a DSL probably would be more to your likeing.
It has good Marshall crunch BUT it will not give you the crunch the 800 will deliver ...
