My 4502 - rythmn channel cranked is awesome.

Fogerty used 900 heads on tour.

My settings were Bass 9, Presence 0, Mid 6, Treble 5.5, Gain 10, Volume 7.5 - High Mode
On the Lead channel I have the gain around 4 or 4.5 and the Volume at 8 or 8.5
REVERB OFF!!!!

Pre-amp 10
Sensitivity 0-3 (just keep it low and it gives a nice boosted 800 toan!)
EQ depends on the guitar I use.

Presence setting is very important to get the fizzzzz out.

Also, for those who don't know this yet. You can jump the fx-loop with a simple patchcable.
This will boost a whole range of frequencies.
If you have an EQ pedal, use this instead.

I still like John Fogertys JCM 900 tone but that was still a funny comment!

Co-incidentally I have the same amp and haven't used it in anger for almost as long, not because I didn't like it, just wasn't anywhere I could use it, I bought a Blackstar HT-5 for the house and more recently picked up a 50watt VM head which I love. I just got the JCM serviced and re-tubed and once I post this I'm gonna go let my neighbours compare the tonez :-)

Settings (as I recall): Vol: 7, gain: 7, Treble: 8, Mid: 4.5, Bass: 6, Presence: 7 - pretty bright but somewhat mellowed by the greenbacks in the 4x12, they're 25w each so I usually have the half power switch on....

Hi guy’s !
I’m about to buy a 1991 900 4500 with EL34’s,
any idea how this guy gets thick juicy blues tone
similar to Gary Moore !?

Never thought a 900 could do this !

Thoughts please!

Hi!
Probably, I think this man use an effect and a Boost drive pedal on the fx loop with full master volume and with low level output on the effects. I had the jcm900 dual reverb 2X12 combo.
