Well I finally got some time to post some pics of the new Summer Jam Lester, needless to say I am very happy with it. A quick shoutout to the guys at Grinning Elk Guitars in Atlanta, very good people to work with and a nice selection of very rare guitars they sell. The setup on this was fantastic, needs nothing. The tone and sustain is sick and consistant as one would expect from a non chambered Lester weighing in at 9.3lbs.

I won't bore you with a review of it other than to say it sounds as good as any Les Paul I have ever tried and the looks are amazing. I do not dig the pots on this thing, WTF Gibson, those will be replaces with a fresh set from RS guitarworks pots. Been playing it non stop for the past week when I have had time, it has the fat 50s neck which I absolutly love. The rosewood fretboard also has a lot of spank as those ZZ Top type overtones come natrually with this. Love it Love it!!

That maple neck looks stunning.
Surf , is there soundwise a difference in sound or punch......??????
because a maple neck is a big difference with other guitars.

Yes, the neck is a five piece of 3 parts maple and 2 Mohogany strpes. The tones are very snappy or spanky if that makes sense. That is why I made the ZZ Top comment.

The finish is Goldburst on Flamed Maple. I stand corrected on the neck wood it is 5-piece maple/walnut neck (even better )
