Been listening to some Ayreon

Which album Surf, never took you for an Ayreon fan. (He just released a new Star One album, and last year did a group called 'Guilt Machine'. Guilt machine was good, but I prefer the "Ayreon" albums, my favourite is hard to say between the last 3, probably human equation though. 01011001 and Electric Castle.. damn this is too much a mood question.


I don't have a car. Lately I have been listening to A LOT of dream theatre in my office, particularly Black Clouds and Silver linings.

The CD Universal Migrator. Man that is some brilliant song writing. I love synth with the hard hitting guitar so that is what attracts me to them.

Yeah the older stuff had a very different tone, I tend to prefer the more diverse later albums, but the ambient metal of the migrator set is awesome. Star one is similar space metal style stuff, at least the older stuff was closer to that vein. I have yet to hear somethign from the man I did not enjoy, he has put out, in my opinion, some of the best albums out there ( I have a thing for epic albums though).

You even had Timo Kotipelto and Bruce Dickenson on Flight of the migrator, two of my favourite metal singers (although Stratovarius moving on without Timo Tolkki is a shadow of what it was).

Lately VH Panama, Funk #49 James Gang, whatever I need to learn for a certain gig. Other than that AC/DC, Jimi, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Alan Holdsworth most of the time.
