I actually do like relics and that is a very nice one. Not really digging the pickguard but that's easilly changed if you want.

While we cover the expense of these Custom SHop Fenders in previous threads, I believe they are totally worth it, they sound and play amazing.

it came today and its amazing!
that custom shop 69' in the neck kicked my arse, pure hendrix and Trower, also the fat 50' in the middle is a beast too,
when used together its pure SRV style tone.

not blown away by the bridge which is a texas special , but then i never like strat bridges, and i only play on les pauls with the tone at 2! and you cant even adjust the bridge tone on this!

all in all a great feeling guitar & a BRILLIANT sounding one.

I don't care for the Texas Specials either, I replaced my bridge with a Seymour Duncan SSL-5, MUCH better. I have a SSL-5/Custom 69/ Custom 50s/ configuration now.

i think ill leave it in there as i dont really use the bridge much on a strat.
how is the 69' in the bridge and the 50' in the neck sound?
mine is the exact opposite and theyre both amazing sounding pickups.
i bet you cant go wrong with them in any config.

I agree about the bridge pup in a strat, although I love the 2nd position for that true strat tone to me. I will have the LP Custom paid off in 4 months and I will be getting one more guitar and I should be happy with guitars for a few years. My next guitar will be a strat but a H/S/S strat.
