Tokai Les Paul

hi ppl im looking into a Tokai Les paul LS150.
they look like great guitars, hand finished, gotoh hardware 1 piece mahgany...
for 5 hundred cheaper tha gibbo standard.
im gonna put some BKP's in it too if i get one,

any one tried a tokai guitar?

Before you part with your hard-earned, I would suggest that you check out the Epiphone Elitist range.
I've used one for years (They were called 'Elite' then) and I honestly prefer it to my Gibson Les Paul Standard my 25/50 Anniversary Custom and SG Special.
...and they're £300 cheaper than the Tokai you're looking at...8)

I played a Love Rock a few weeks ago, it was a newer model. I wasn't too impressed, felt and sounded a lot like a standard line Epiphone. However there are a few famous guys playing them, you see Billy Gibbons with one a lot, and Robert Fripp's main guitar is one as well. The older ones may be better than the newer ones.

I talked to the owner a few days ago, it is a model from post-2000 and cost him around $600 on ebay. It was a foreign auction also, apparently you can't get them from a US seller. It sure looks nice with all the flame on the top, and they got the headstock right.
