strange woman tone

Postby kissfanps » 22 Aug 2008, 14:02

Too start I have WCRs in my guitar (crossroads on neck and godwood on bridge). I also put his harness in wired 50s style. When i dial the neck tone down to 0 for my woman tone something strange happens. The volume pot is smooth all the way up to 9 and then when i crossover i get this huge jump in volume and high frequency. I am talking HUGE. Can anyone explain this phenomenon?

Sounds like a no load pot. When turned up all the way it removes the tone pot completely from the circuit. Just a guess though, I'm still learning about this stuff.
