Upgrading MIM Stratocaster

Postby Peveo » 18 Feb 2020, 00:06

Although i’m quiet satisfied with my MIM strats ,they still are not in the same ballpark as my USA strats.
I have a maple neck and a rosewood neck strat and the pickups are already changed to: Fender Custom shop 69’s in the rosewood and Fender Custom shop Fat 50’s with a Seymour SSl 5 in bridge postion in the maple neck strat.
Still, y do mis some “ oemph” and y was wondering if a chance of the tremelo would make a huge difference.
I was looking at a Gotoh GE-102T for example. If possible y would keep the 6 screw connection in place but if a 2 point connection is better, so be it.

Any tips welcome
Thanks
Marshall JTM45RI , 1936 cab with v30, Laney lionheart L5 studio Head, Fender Superchamp X2 combo, Fender Blues de Luxe combo ,Strats, Tele, Les Paul, Seagull S6, Fender 12 string and a lot of stompboxes.
And i'm still collecting... :cowbell
