Well, I've been on the hunt for a new amp for a long time now mainly to do things that my AFD100 can't. So introducing the Reynolds Skunkworx Plexi100. Made by Pete Reynolds at river music at Windsor NSW.
Basically it is a modded Marshall 1959 with a foot switchable 2203 circuit. It was made specifically for guitarist Michael Dolce who used it on last years TV series "The Voice".
I'm by no means a technical kinda guy, more your plug and play variety but, I can tell you a bit about the amp. Basically the 1959 circuit has a high and low Volume control(as if it were patched) with a push pull bright switch. The "Marshall" style knobs on the right are the volume and gain knobs for the 2203 circuit which also has a push pull bright switch.
Haven't had too much time to experiment with it but Ive been using the Plexi channel for cleans, switching to the 2203 channel for crunch and pushing it with ZW-44 for solos or for some extra crunch. Sometimes I skip the 2203 channel and just push the Plexi channel with my pedal.
oh and yea, it sounds farking amazing,,,...
Peace
