So the Granger M100 is a roughly 1969-1972 Super Lead clone with some choice circuit value changes. It has a PPIMV on it which I rarely run much above 4 (for obvious reasons). Typically I run the channels bridged with an EQ that is bass and mid about 1 o'clock, treble about 11:30, presence about 1:00, then Volume 1 and 2 at 6 and 3 on the dial, respectively. It sounds really good.
I also have a Line 6 amp sim that runs on your computer and the guitar connects to an interface box. I use it for practicing a lot. As an experiment I pulled up its Super Lead model and set it to run through a 4x12 with G12M's. I decided not to bridge the inputs and instead ran everything on 10, like Clapton did with Cream. After backing the presence off a bit, the sim sounded AMAZING. It was right there.
Assuming that I still ran the PPIMV at or below 4 and since a preamp is a Class A circuit (thinks it is wide open all the time anyway), would actually running my M100 this way put any undue strain on the circuit?
