Tone sounds great, nice riffin'.

I dig that backing track, nice vibe to it.

Hey Papus.... I'll bite... What's a Swank Motee Cascade mod? Great sounding demo, and great playing, but it sounds like a stock 2061x...at least on the recording...

On this Part 1 of 5 I've got the controls set for stock 2061x breakup, then use the Blackstar HT-Boost to kick it up a notch later in Part 1.
The Swank Motee cascade mod was devised by a guy on the Vintage Amps Forum named Swank Motee.
It's a typical v1a cascaded into v1b mod.

I've added parts 4 & 5 today :)

Parts 1,3 & 5 are mainly to demonstrate what the stock 2061x can sound like with a Blackstar HT-Boost and the Vox Tonelab SE in front.
The cascade modded 2061x was set to produce similar natural distortion to a stock 2061x.
The HT-Boost is set to maximum boost, slight bass reduction and slight treble boost with the low output.
The Vox TonelabSE is set with all internal amps & cabs bypassed so it's essentially providing modelled pedals only:

Vox Wah
Univibe
MXR Phase90
Analog Tape Delay set identical to BLackmore's AIWA open reel deck
Octavia
Octave

Parts 2 & 4 are to demonstrate the 2061x with Swank Motee cascade mod, everything dimed.
No pedals or effects.

Guitars used are a stock Epiphone SG and a Strat with EMG Select pickups.

Cab is a Marshall 4x12 of unknown origin loaded with 1960's Rola 50w 16ohm 12" speakers which came out of a junked cab I found on the side of the road - they were already VERY well broken in :)

Cab was miked with a Shure SM57 off-axis to the cone, into a tube mic pre-amp into a MOTU Traveler Firewire interface into Apple Logic.

Backing Track was created in Apple Logic using Apple Loops and Bass sampler.

Enjoy!
