I own a 4001 Studio 15 bought new in 1985. Pretty rare, any idea what these amps are worth? Only Marshall with 6v6 tubes I believe..anyone?

They were Marshall's first amp to use a Vintage 30 speaker, and their only amp to ever use 6V6 power tubes.

They are 15 watts and the have a cult like following on the internet for them. Suppose to have been only 500 made but I have also heard that to be untrue.

Do you have the uk built version or the verson made in China? That effects the price.

As far as value in todays market...who knows. If I were to guess I would say $700 would be top dollar. However this is a cork sniffer amp, list it for more a see what happens.

I had 1 for a while in the 90's. The place I bought it from sold it to me for $265 brand new. The salesman said the amp was there for 3-4 years and had been demoed 3 times. When the internet buzz on them started, I sold it on Ebay for $700. Cool little amp with strange interaction between the controls. The midrange control almost acted like a 2nd gain control. The amp sounded great when dimed, but pretty common otherwise.
