Marshall Transformers

Postby Mats A » 18 Nov 2015, 10:00

I red somewhere that the 1959 SLP Reissues with the effects loop has some cheaper Chinese made transformer. Is that so? Where are the transformers in the Marshalls of today like the JVM and the other Reissues made? Before a Company called Dagnall used to make the transformers for the 100 Watters.

I know Drake used to make the trannys for the 50 Watters. Now Dagnall makes these also. But are they made in China for Dagnall? Are the trabbt for the HW amps made at the same location?

If people would STOP bitching about the price of UK made Marshall's ( which ironically drove some of the production to Vietnam) then you wouldn't need to wonder if the tranny's are made with rice....... :bgrin

Wgat number does the trannies in the 1959X SLP Reissue have? On the HW, RR and 2203 it´s written on the schematic. But not on the 1959X
