Is it true that Doug Aldrich used some kind of prototype Marshall for a while? What amp was it? Could it have been the JMD.

Yes... It's been well discussed & I've seen him use it quite a few x's...

It's a prototypse. It says Marshall DA on the faceplate... DA obviously stands for Doug Aldrich...

It seems Santiago made mention about it, in a thread that was talking about it somewhere, but, it's under wraps as to what it actually is. Marshall is generally pretty tight lipped about upcoming amps (if there is one). In the past, there were rumours about a Gary Moore amp, which never came to be. Marshall has stuff on R&D that never makes the production line. At this point, this is probably a one-off & we'll never see it, nor know what it is, unless we catch Doug playing w/ it & get to grill him about it. Chances are, he, like anyone else involved are signed to a secrecy agreement & can't disclose too much, if any info on it...

He´s not using it now with Glenn Hughes anyway. Maybe he had to return it to Marshall. Seems like Bjorn in Inflames had/have anothe one or the same amp according to another forum. Seems it could be a more metal version of the 2203KK amp.

From another forum.
