:Scotland Surf, Anybody? Any word or scuttlebutt yet on a new Replacement model for the JMD1 series? If I could only be a fly on the wall in Milton.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Nobody knows for sure what the future holds for Marshall. To my knowledge sadly there are no plans for a ver2.

Although I love my JMD, I don't think the line was a big commercial success for Marshall. I therefore don't think they'll be rolling out anything else along these lines any time soon.

I agree, but it's really to bad because the amp is really good. I admit I was also skeptical about the amp until a few on the board convinced me that it would be a good amp to gig. I am glad I took the advice because for half of my gigs I still use it and it always performs as expected.

I don't know why it was not a success, it seemed to me as time went on it got more popular as people actually tried it. It certainly has it's fans now.

The JMD is probably the most versatile amp I own. Simply amazing.

I run a box of rock in the front of my JMD, with the addition of greenbacks installed in a 1960b, with the setting I've got off of Pre-Amp #11, I've never gotten that kind of tone out of any amp. It fits my funkiness and grind simply to a Tee! Then, the FX loop is just great, using it for power stage only, really doesn't matter. What does matter is i don't have another one to go with it for even more flexibility. Once again, i'm one cabinet and one amp away from.......you know the drill. This time, I'm being honest with myself. One more JMD and a 1960bx and it's soup de jour. Amp really likes low output coils.

Id love to see a version 2 or a rack unit to compete with the likes of AXE FX or 11 Rack.
