I think the idea of the JMD is the "D" is digital = modeller...

If you've tried the JMD-1, you'll note what a good job they did capturing the Marshall tones/sounds & in an authentic way.

I haven't really tapped into mine yet. I just dialed in the JVM tone & it rocks. Kinda went through all the topology settings, but didn't really explore them. There's just so much to explore. I'd like them to do a full on rack system, w/ integrated DSP & stereo outs...

I think I have used maybe and this is a serious strech; 15% of what the JMD is able to do. I refuse to use the effects they are too limiting and my TC Electronics do the effects loads better. I also do not consider a noise gate an effect. I would pull the trigger on a JMD2 as fast as the original; Oct 2010.

I voted no! I was considering JMD1 for a while and then made up my mind.
My mind is turned more to 1-watters.

You mean, another JMP-1 ?

Well, sort of, but an all in 1 wonder including an updated JFX-1, that can handle more than 2 effects at a time. Using the modeled (JMD) pre-amps (& more), w/ EPA, auto bias (EL34 stereo amps), & xlr outs w/ independent volume control.

Would be badass!

The beauty that became these amps was the drop in price to unload them. With all those editions your talking one of the more expensive amps to ever be manufactured ? :dunno

Agreed , drop in price made them much more attractive for new buyers on the fence and already owners looking to take advantage of
an additional purchase. I would even go a step further to say in some cases people benefited from the cheap mdf build and got even lower prices on a great amp.

I will add I am an initial full price buyer and have no regrets.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, But softube who did the modelling doubled the price for the JMD2 I heard it was on it's way and after the price hike Marshall could not afford to go any further.

Although they now have a partnership with Marshall.... Since September last year. So i would expect new products from the 2 partners any time soon :)
I am not into modelling... But I think it's great to see a Swedish company involved! :)
