Low Ambient Noise

Postby jeffsmusic4919 » 06 Oct 2014, 18:36

After hooking up all off my Marshall equipment over the last few weeks in one form or another, I am still amazed by the low ambient noise of this amp. It is so nice and quiet in standby and off. I am assuming other users are experiencing the same?

Digital preamp. If your chain is silent that is a very good thing. Remember the JMD1 is a amp that grows on you the longer you have it. It is a very solid amp to gig with.

I was leaning more towards the standby sound. The transformer, board design and wiring is awesome. Nearly or maybe completely silent in standby. None of my other amps are this quiet.

:Scotland I have noticed quite a bit of noise however when using Single coils like a Tele, Strat, or P90 on the High Gain settings, (with Gain all the way up), even with the noisegate engaged. I'm assuming this is normal because of the Gain settings.

60Hz hum is a wonderful thing.

:Scotland :Scotland TWIN
I swear it's going to get warm sometime.

The noise gate is awesome . I wish it had it's own Knob .
I know it's only rock and roll , but I like it .
