New Song Recorded using the new JMD1

Postby surfnorthwest » 20 Mar 2010, 18:06

The song below is the first song I have recorded using my new JDM1/100. In this song I wanted to showcase a little bit of the four preamps in the clean section of the amp. All the guitar tones come from on of the four preamps with all the effects being the JMD1 with the exception of some deja vibe.

The lead guitar was using mostly preamp 1 and 3, while the rythem guitar was preamp 2 only. Here is the setup below.

Guitar - Les Paul
Amp - JMD1
Cabinet - Alnico Gold

I am really looking into getting this amp. The clip does not sound digital at all and I am suprised by some of the gain that can come from the clean section. Thanks

Any chance of simply hitting some un-effected A chords and such, dialing around the pre's ?

Give me a couple of days, I will see if I can put something together. Isn't there a guitar shop near you where you can try one yet?

Not in town, G.C. here doesn't carry squat anymore, Canton, MI the closest. It would take setting aside some time. No sweat on the samples, I understand it takes a fair amount of time to do it right. I'm interested because i have a reunion gig backing up a band in Cleveland late in May, and I'd dig being able to dial up different Marshall-esque gain structures on the fly, but I'd have to trade in my Kustom to do so.

My daughter works at the canton store. No JMD's there yet.
