TC Electronic G-System with the VM

Right I am having a big dilemma trying to decide whether or not to go down the pedal board route using a combination of a few boutique type pedals for mods, compression, delays etc, or just buy the TC G-System which just looks awesome. (And has some really nice switching and loop features).
Has anyone used the VM with the G-System before, and did you have any probs? I have noticed that a few people have trouble with hiss and noise using it with the JVM models.
