Had one years ago. Fun little toy. Very hard to switch strings and play chords the way he does though.

They are fun but take awhile to get used to using, don't use mine much these days, you need humbuckers for them to work best fyi.

I ordered one to try, looks like if nothing else it will be fun to play with. I really want it to try some long swells and arpeggios

It's basically just a magnet that you hold over the string which causes it to vibrate.

Mine came today and I love it. I have been messin with it by sustaining a string and using a good glass slide on my Tele, works very good. I think it is going to take some practice holding it in the sweet spot. Some very cool sounds, I like it.

Do you have a humbucker in the neck? The Ebow is alot easier to learn on with them.

I have a Seymour Duncan 59 in the neck which is a humbucker. I have a Fender Texas Special in the bridge.

I've never tried an Ebow and was very impressed watching the the video. Then I saw the second half when he put it down and played without it :eek I don't think I would have quite the same results. :bgrin
