Ibanez FL9 from the 80's Japan

Postby surlybastard » 15 Feb 2012, 14:24

I've got a deal in the works for a 80's Ibanez FL9 Flanger from Japan (probably built by Maxon). Guy wants $100 for it, and he's gonna throw in a DOD FX90 which is a delay pedal I used to have but sold when I sold a bunch of stuff last year (I sold it for $70). Now the FX90 has some kind of issue with it, he hasn't elaborated on what it is yet so I'm trying to figure that part out. Not that I'd really use the FX90, but it's certainly a nice pedal to have lying around for the odd thing here and there, it's the dirtiest delay pedal I've ever had.

Anyhow, back to the FL9: I originally thought this might be a good deal as the older Ibanez pedals are highly sought after but have done a bit reading and found only *some* of those pedals are any good.

Thought I'd put it out there to see if anyone has an opinion

I like the pedal, I think it sounds really warm and has nice analog tones to it. My is a reissue but I modded it myself so it sounds even better. You can't go wrong with it though.
