Without going into nauseating details....a worker in my home was on the other side of a wall using a drill ...drilling in the wrong spot ....and didnt know what was on the other side...my AFD.........ouch..what are the damn odds of that.
The cover was minced ...the back plate / panel just butchered....please someone tell me i can replace these items through Marshall and the best way to contact them.
It still works ...damage is all cosmetic ...but still you guys understand.
can someone say small claims court ? i can joke now but i was miserable for a day or two when it happened.

The back plates can be ordered and replaced. Contact your authorized Marshall dealer and have them order you one. Online retailers such as Sweetwater can order Marshall parts also.

that's pretty horrible. glad to hear he didn't hit any of the electronics, but i can imagine the heart sinking feeling when you saw it. hope you get it sorted out

It is so unbelievable it is almost hilarious... I hope it gets sorted out fast and that you will be able to laugh at it eventually...
However I heard if a contractor drilling through the wrong wall into the wrong apartment hitting an exotic indoor salt water fish tank with expensive fish in it. it was thousands of gallons of water that came out and it ruined 3 apartments down as it flooded them.

Just to give some closure....thanks to Sweetwater / Marshalls great customer service / advice from this board...I replaced the back wood baffle / panel / new dust cover and my amp is back to its original glory.
Now I need a "drill proof " live-in roadcase .... Rock on!
