Cool. I only got to see them on their 1992 summer tour with Metallica and Faith No More. It was the opening show in Washington, D.C. Unfortunately the show was a lot like the pay-per-view show they did in Paris. They took forever to come on stage, and Metallica had already blown away the crowd. Unfortunately, the show was a bit of a let-down. I might have appreciated it more had I known it would be the only GN'R show I would ever see. My tickets were for crap. Today thanks to having the internet, having a job and having StubHub, it's a lot easier to learn about shows and to find and afford good seats.
I did have tickets to see them in Springfield, Mass. in March 1993, but that show was cancelled due to a winter storm. That was the so-called "Back to Basics" tour. Oh, well, at least we have the music.
BTW, the sound on Made in Stoke 24-7-11 is so much better than the GN'R Live Era double-CD set. It's a shame.
Also those GN'R videos show that Slash's playing was sloppier back then. He claimed that his substance abuse never affected his playing, but I think that's a load of crap. I think his playing is a lot better today than it was back then.
Happiness is playing a Gibson guitar through a Marshall amplifier.
