Hello, I need help. I have a big problem with my AFD100…
Recently by switching on with the auto bias it put in the 4 lamps in default, I switched off it and when i relight always in auto bias and only V1 in default. Further to the advice of a friend I have inverted V1 and V2 and the surprise V2 ignites but V1 remains lit. I have heard a big crackle just before the end of the auto bias.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your AFD... I am not a tech so my advice is not worth much...
I would try to swap all 4 tubes to see... and if it is not resolved I would bring it to a tech.
But I do not know if a faulty amp could damage tubes... if so then maybe just putting in 4 new tubes may not be a good idea...

Many skilled people are on this forum and even sometimes the designers themselves so you have come to the right place... hope it is not a big problem and that you can get it fixed soon and without it costing too much...

Yeah me too, but the cash is not problem for me because i could spend a lot to get it back… I really love it!
I'm from a Franche-Comte in a little village between Besançon (25) and Dijon (21). That's why it has been so difficult to get an AFD100 for me :)

Sorry to hear about it. Sadly I've had my fair share of my afd running into problems, BUT, it's such a fine amp!
