I just don't understand how you can make a decision without seeing it and only going on a control panel drawing! Do you know what the head, as a whole, looks like? You also have to remember who the amp's for. Would it surprise you if I said it was covered with snakeskin instead of tolex? ***IT ISN'T BY THE WAY - JUST SAYIN'*** Now THAT would look like a toy.
When it comes to how it sounds, since we've only ever head Slash playing it himself, I'm going to reserve judgement until ours come in and I can spend a good couple of hours with one. So far, all I've heard is Slash sounding like Slash. Obviously this is exactly what Marshall intended to do, but I don't think that proves to us that it's the be-all and end-all of Slash fans' tone search. To me it just means they didn't get it WRONG! It'll be more interesting to see if they got it RIGHT when someone who isn't Slash plugs in and gets the passable Slash impression they were hoping for.
