Rubber ring in spring retainers?

Rubber ring in spring retainers?

Question there is a rubber ring in the top that you put over the valve on the spring retainers on the AFD. When i changed valves tonight one of them came loose i can´t seem to put it back. Will it cause any major problem if if i don´t get it back?
