I GOT IT

Postby Slash1337 » 13 Aug 2011, 18:39

So I did it. I played it first and the guy who was holding the amp for me hid it in the back so no one else played it. Everyone in the store wanted to hear it dimed even the employee's and the manager. What a mind blow. I pretty much had the thought of it being a one trick pony for sure. I mean, the AFD mode I'm not a fan of, but the #34 is super bad ass. AND I DID TRADE IN THE JVM NOT THE VM :)

Pictures will be up next week with the VM with it :)

Sound clips or a song will be after that. I imagine myself having ALOT of fun within the next couple years :)

Also, it's only 1 of 4 in Canada so far :)

Knowing what a fan you are of the Slash tone you must be very happy. Very cool.

Well, I actually went into it thinking that's ALL it did. And if that were the case, I wasn't gonna buy it to be honest. I mean, it does it. But it can get pretty heavy too. And do alot more...No cleans though... but combined with the VM that shoudn't be a problem.

Congrats dude welcome to the club.

I'm really surprised that you favour the #34 mode over the AFD though!! Most people are the other way round to start off with.

I've only played through it once. I think the AFD mode shines when cranked is what it is. But I find the #34 to have a litle more bottom end, and not be so thin. Find out tomorrow! When I reall get to go to town with it

Semi-agree... well... obviously you are right in that sense that most people do actually favor the AFD mode over the #34 mode.
I think that'll change though.

The AFD mode is the one you instantly fall in love with... it's heaps of fun right out of the box.
The #34 mode is more usable when you get it right.

I catch myself playing the #34 mode most of the time when playing the AFD100 now... it totally rocks :jam
I'm now speaking of the AFD100/Les Paul combination here. The Telecaster seem to tame the AFD mode pretty darn well... so with the Telecaster it's pretty much Even Steven to me.

I'm surprise he found out straight away :dunno

That being said... Congtrats with a new amp dude... welcome to the exclusive 2300(World Wide) club :beerme

Who told you that? If that's the case I've seen the other three for sale around Toronto in the last three months on Craigslist. I think it might be a bit of salesman baloney :)

Oh those silly L&M guys! Anyhow, enjoy the amp. My buddy played one at a shop in Toronto a few weeks ago and all he could say when I asked him how it was "Tits, dude it was tits"

That probably sums it up nicely

You can say that ahaha. It's pretty damn awesome. The no reverb kinda sucks, but it really isn't bothering me at all.

All this talk about the AFD 100 is making me get the itch to buy one.
