You are going to have mess around. Listen to the album and try to match it. Start with the mode on the 800 setting. It really should only take a minute or two.

I don't really know that pedal, but you're able to hear the length of the delay in WTTJ intro. Should be pretty easy to match at least the delay time and maybe even feedback time.
GAS isn't the problem,
the lack of funds is...

Its actually funny, Slash is know for using a DD-3 Live for Welcome To The Jungle's intro, but in the studio he used a rack mount unit with a bunch of delay settings.

You're going to want the effect mix (level) to be almost even with the original signal (50%) turn your delay 150 miliseconds, echo/feedback should 65%. This information is from the Slash Signature licks book telling how to replicate the delay sound in Welcome To The Jungle.

Thanks guys i knew you would help me out cheers,SW just a quick question on the settings you suggested the MODE button has settings 50ms,200ms,800ms so do i put it on 200ms and turn the delay button to 75% to get the 150ms? is that how the mode buttons are used if i wanted it at 300ms i woud use the 800ms and turn it to about 30%,all info is very helpful as its the first pedal ive owed.

Yeah the mode you select is the max delay time that mode will do (just refferenced my Boss RV-3 Digital Delay). So put it on the 200ms mode and set the delay time knob to 75% and the feedback to 65%.

Honestly in my opinion the Boss RV-3 Reverb & Delay is tough to beat, you can dial in any reverb or delay or reverb & delay at the same time that you want. Very versatile has 12 settings as well as the ability to adjust & fine tune each setting, honestly the only problem with it is that I wish I had another one. I'm sure there are other great reverbs but this has worked awesome for years for me and has given me the ability to really create some memorable songs for myself as well as nail cover tunes.

Not a problem man.

You won't damage the cab or the player...but the MP3 player wont be able to power your cab its output isn't enough you'll need a power amp of some sort that you can plug your mp3 player into to power the cab.
