Totally weird problem with delay pedal

Postby kissfanps » 09 Jan 2012, 09:49

When I click on my echo baby I loose gain and volume. This weird thing is only happening with the AFD. It doesn't happen on the VM whether on LDR or HDR, my tweed twin, or my class 5. It also doesn't happen with my aqua puss into the AFD. Anyone know what gives?

Ill try it in the loop to see if the same thing happens, but that doesn't solve my problem because I like running pedals in front.

Strange since you have it in front of the amp. It must lower your signal in some way.

Funny you should mention that. I had a gig last night and for the first time I tried a new configuration. I run the loop permanently on with a delay and chorus plus a line boost in the loop. When a solo comes along I hit the line boost(mxr) and the delay. If I turn the delay off first the volume increase is substantial. It is as though the delay is sucking a huge amount of volume out. I am going to try putting the boost in front of the amp as see if that does the trick. I have never had this before
