Another one for you to look at is the Gibson Classic '57. I am currently enjoying a Classic '57/Classic '57 Plus combo in one of my Les Pauls.
I believe a lot of SG users rate them very highly.

Agree. I think the best option for a Gibson it's Gibson pickups. The 500T has a lot of character. I love it. Dirty fingers and burstbucker also are good options.
