Has anyone compared these two pickups soundwise I believe the 498 would be brighter with more highend presence clarity.

There might be some very noticeable difference if the Gibby has a cover on it. The 498 would prolly sound thinner.

To me the Gibson 498t has the brightness that I hear a on the first van halen album which is a good thing for me.I think its one of the brightest med/high output pickups out there.
