Glad you like them. Pickup height is going to be very important to get the most out of them. I think they really give a Strat that vintage Strat sound. Also you should have noticed that position 2 and 4 are dead quite.

When the heck did you get a Class5? Didn't even hear you were wanting one. I know Faze got one also and is really happy with it. I am sticking to the 100 watt stuff. (all you pussies around here with your 5 watt amps) :laugh :bgrin

Hey fellas, not to hijack the thread but I too am looking to stick some CS69's in an old MIM beater strat. Also going to change the pots and jack. Any ideas on 250 vs. 500 pots?? By the way I am far from a technician, but solder is cheap as long as I don't destroy the pots. I'm going to research some youtube stuff for solder techniques, but I would like to have the right pots or something cooler before I start. Thanks for any replies.

500k with single coils risks being an ice pick. But if you are not concerned with brightness then by all means.

+1

Stay away from 500k pots if you're using true single coils.

Thanks guys, will go with the 250s. After all these years of playing I'm just now taking the time to try and understand some of the nuts and bolts of what makes the tone I'm seeking. I'll post some pics/sounds of the pickups/pots when I get them in.

250k definitely.
Bare Knuckle have CTS 300k's which guarantee you get at least 250k after the +/- 10% associated with these pots. Used 'em myself after installing their Irish Tour set - Great!
