BareKnuckle Pickups New Website

Postby surfnorthwest » 07 Jan 2011, 14:37

For any of you BareKnuckle fans they have totally redone their web site. Pickups are laid out easy to find, and finally many sound clips to sample. Lot better then their old site.

The new site is slick, the addition of EQ and pictures was great.

The single coil sound samples are cool too because it toggles all five positions.

Haven't checked that far yet. That new site is dangerous though. I want to buy guitars just to try different pickups in them..

No word of a lie Surf, she came up to me the other day and said "You know if you are planning on building a 7 string this year it will have to start April at the latest". Picked a winner I think.

Them are some nice sounding pickups, I really like the sound of those Black Dogs. You guys think they are overpriced? :roll
Gibson R8 - Gibson Explorer - Gibson R7 Goldtop
Marshall 2466 - Marshall JMD1 - Marshall 1987

I'll let you know if they are overpriced once mine come in. Seeing as they are entirely handmade, you unfortunately need to pay for that however.

I hear good things about these. I was thinking of putting the Cold Sweats in my Washburn N4. The stock Bill Lawrence in the bridge is a little too trebly for my taste.
Fender American Deluxe Telecaster
Fender American Standard Stratocaster
Gibson Les Paul Standard
Washburn N4 Relic

Marshall Vintage Modern 2466 + 425A
Mesa Boogie F50 Combo

Some of them sound amazing. I wouldn't mind putting some in a strat.
The fact that my playing sounds like shit to you, makes it even more fun for me.

The word on the street is that the guy that started BKP was actually apprentice/working under http://www.wizardpickups.co.uk/ and once he'd learned the designs and techniques from there, took off and started Bare Knuckle.

May or may not be true but some people seem convinced by it. Wizard Pickups used to be based in the north of Scotland... I think they're in Wales now.

P.S. I love me some Bare Knuckle pickups...
