I really like what this company is doing. Now they have a way to compensate for lost guitar tone through your single chain. Impressive and easy to install with a price point of $49. The Creation Audio Labs Redeemer, check out the videos as it cycles through instrument cable and the Premier Guitar Magazine Review.

The Redeemer is an innovative buffer circuit that eliminates tone loss caused by the interaction of instrument electronics and the loading effect of the cable, effects units and amplifier. The instrument is effectively insulated from the rest of the signal chain providing these benefits:

IMPROVED NOTE CLARITY
Individual notes within chords are heard with greater detail - harmonics jump right out!

QUICKER TRANSIENT ATTACK
The guitar becomes very responsive to the players picking velocity and strength... This is something you will feel!

ULTRA LINEAR AND TRANSPARENT
The timbre of the instrument stays consistent, especially when “rolling back” the volume controls! No loss of high frequencies when you turn down your instruments volume - It's like having a master volume that keeps your tone the same at any volume level.

PLUG DIRECTLY INTO THE LINE INPUT ON A MIXER
Because the output impedance is less than 300ohms the circuit can easily drive a line input for going direct to a mixer.
This results in a clear, full range of tone that sounds better than using a direct box for live or recording applications.

SUPER AUDIOPHILE SPECS:
Flat frequency response: 10 Hz - 50 kHz!
Noise floor: -125 dB!
Distortion: 0.0005%

Input Impedance: > 2M ohms
Output Impedance: < 300 ohms
Current Draw: < 2.5mA

Power: operates from 9v to 18v

Phase response: between +/- 0.1 degree from 20 Hz to 20 kHz

Dimensions: 0.4" x 0.8" x 1" (metric = 1.0 cm x 2.0 cm x 2.5 cm) and a 9 volt battery

Says it just defaults back to normal if you lose battery power, they claim 300 hours on a single 9v.

They are neat, but all they are is a signal buffer mounted internally. You can get the same through one of tose offboard buffer 'pedals' early/ first in your line.

I have considered putting one in my C66 a few times, but it is getting a little.. clutterred in the cavity. I was going to get an ISP G string as they have a quality buffer on the input read stage and run it first in chain either way. When I get enough cash to finally get back to building the pedal board afterall. That custom 7 is setting me back. The 7 would be near impossible to install one in also, as it has Piezo and a TRS jack running to the preamp either way (for signal split).

That said I don't run a long signal, and it is already buffered at the start when I don't plug right in. Any way to alleviate signal loss is ofcourse great, but control cavities are prime real estate for tweakers like me.

Wasn't going to expect such a change in tonal quality, might be interesting to pop that into my LP :)

Well I got one installed so far, put the first one into my Les Paul R8. Two small changes I got were, more clairty and more natrual sustain. My guitar did not have as dramatic effect in tone as in the video but it is definetly noticable. In fairness most my pedals are true bypass and I use Monster cables for everything.

The biggest thing I did notice is the volume and tone pot on my guitar are now noticably more responsive. This makes the $49 price tag very much worth it to me.

I rate the product a solid 4, not a must have but defiently a good to have.

As Kyle said, its just a buffer. but it is cool how small they made it! and it was a good demonstration of how cables can effect the sound!

I have actually been thinking recently of putting a buffer into one of my guitars and seeing how it worked out. I wouldn't buy those tho, id just build one myself. I have the parts at hand.

Ah i just noticed from the wiring pdf...they include a stereo output jack!

thats a good addition because like in a pedal, if you unplug the jack it disconnects the battery, so thats good!
Everybody seems to think i'm lazy.
I dont mind...I think they're crazy!

Cool stuff as long as you have room in the guitar. So is everything installed in all your guitars, would love to know your thoughts with the other guitars.
