Pickup height and pole adjustment

Hi ppl. Been a long time I was posting here. I wad unhappy lately with my Epi LP sound and was thinking of pickup change. Then I read a post by one of core members here (I think it was either slowpoke or livewire) suggesting height adjustment and pole adjustment might do wonders. Indeed they did. Mud is gone! Thank you ppl, worthy forum.

I bought a Les Paul Standard in 1990 for $900 cash and a Kramer Pacer with EMGs.
It wasn't until 5 or 6 years later that I had the stock pickups replaced with 57 Classics and what a difference that made for clarity and an overall better, bigger tone with much better note seperation.

But I agree that it would definitely be worth experimenting with adjusting the current pickups. I understand the height adjustment but I wonder about the individual screws on the humbuckers....

I've been tweaking the height on my LP for the last little while, I've been putting them lower and lower and I like the way they feel and sound quite a ways down from stock. You get more dynamics and character in each note, I do miss a bit of the guts but there's an easy fix to that: turn the amp up!

Lowered the bridge picku(was way too high) and highrred the poles. Brightened up the sound nicely.
