Fuses not accessible from the outside. Pretty silly.

Postby aftec » 17 Jun 2012, 06:56

Hi,

My Phase Inventer tube is blown. (never seen anything like that, the glass is broken)
I have changed the tube, but still no sound, most probably a fuse is blown. Now I can't check that because they are not accesible from the outside. I have to remove the chassis from the headshell. (The power fuse is fine below the power socket, the amp has power, but no sound.)
That's amazingly silly. :wtf :wtf
What happens if a fuse is blown on a gig? I have to take the amp apart?
The manual says: "NEVER attempt to bypass the fuse or fit one of the incorrect value."
That's amazingly stupid again, because the manual does not tell the correct value. :cuss

Don't get me wrong, I love the amp, but it's such a letdown for a gigging musician.
Can anyone share the fuse specs?

Part II

Ok. The fuses are fine. Manged to solve the problem, the amp needed a rebias.
If you have a FAQ please include, if you had a PI failure, rebias. :shredder
