As the title said, I like the MHZ112 cab, and the G12-66 Marquee that's in I like it with the MHZ15 head, as an extension for my Peavey VK and as a cab for my Little Night Train. Sound very good to me with them all.

I even like it a bit better than my custom 1X12 cab with a blue in. The cab with the blue sounds great, for sure, but all sounds more Marshall with the MHZ112 cab.

Now my question to you is this: In case I want to upgrade to an even better Celestion, which one of the V30 and the Green could be the best replacement for the G12-66? Is the G12-66 based on a V30 or based on green ? Or maybe is it a complete different animal than the v30 and the green?

Please educate me !

The Vintage 30 standard for years. Sounds great clean or crunchy on all types of music especially high gain metal. Good bass, pronounced mids, upper mids and highs.

The greenback is a warmer speaker and better for cleaner sound but with its early cone breakup it can be great for low wattage amps. Both are very good.
