NAD: JVM205

Postby Ianasauras » 24 Mar 2013, 10:14

Hi Guys,

Got an amazing deal on a JVM 205 from my local music store! Its brand new so im not too sure what I think so far. It's pretty much the opposite from my VM but I think in a good way.

It was bought as is so I need to get a footswitch for it (if anyone knows of a rsonably priced one please let me know).

Enough talking! Whats a new amp day without pics right???

This is my current setup:

Congrats! I like mine quite a bit, although I'm still debating whether to modify the OD Orange and Red channels; they're a bit over the top for my taste. Definitely no lack of volume!

Congrats, I've always liked JVM's when I get a chance to play through one. I also dig the Gilbert setup you got there with the Fireman and airplane Flanger. They had one used in my local shop for $70 and I had it in my hand, but put it back. I regret it now.

Thanks guys,

I'm a massive PG fan. My airplane flanger is signed by him and I have the Fuzz Universe OD on the way to me now.

I'd recommend you just get a MIDI pedal to switch the channels. A decent MIDI pedal will probably be easier to find and more reliable than the Marshall footswitch, anyway.

Plus, if you ever decide to get rack (MIDI) effects, the MIDI pedal can control both the amp and rack units. It's a pleasure stepping on just one button and having your amp change channels and your effects change presets at the same time.

Thanks man. But I went into the shop I got it in and they found one leftover from the sale from which I bought the amp in so they gave me that. I'm now all set up.
