Sounds really good. I thought the JVM didn't really need a OD. Nice mix of delay in there. Nice tone at a low volume.
Gibson R8 - Gibson Explorer - Gibson R7 Goldtop
Marshall 2466 - Marshall JMD1 - Marshall 1987
No one wants to hear 64 bars full of 32nd-notes except the douche-bag blowing them from the stage.

Nice tones, I have a DOD yjm model 250 not sure exactly what is different from the 250 original or reissue other than a fancy paint job but I do like what it does to a rhythm tone for me. It feels different than other gain pedals. Not really so much adding gain but more of a tightening up kind of thing. It's awesome thru the crunch channel of a 6505, give it a bit more roar sounds like it does the same for the jvm. It's a cool pedal no wonder yjm had it built into his siggy marshall.
Non Marshall's include 6505+, carvin quad x, fender champ, gen 1 flextone, orange tiny terror, fractal/atomic reactor 18, mesa f30
Scads of ibanez, bc rich, prs, and esp's

That's right, in fact it is the built in DOD pedal that makes the YJM plexi come alive with high EPA attenuation, without it the amp is dull and lacking in gain because of the EPA.
SV20 Plexi, JTM45, YJM plexi, KK800, JTM60, JTM1, JMP1, JCM1, DSL1, JVM1.

I think the built in DOD on the YJM adds a lot of treble wich DOD Overdrivers do. That is why you have to jumper the channels on the YJM. When using like the Colorsound Överdriver and most other overdrivers i guess you can just use the high sensitivity high treble input on the YJM. Most of the guitarists from the 70´s i like just used that input of the amp.
But it´s a fact that when you use a lot of EPA you lose much of the YJM´s distortion. When i use my Plexi Reissue with my Marshall Power Brake i don´t need any distortion pedal at all. I get all the overdrive i need from the amp.

The built-in DOD OD in the YJM adds a lot of treble because it is based on the piece of junk DOD 308. The old 250 and the recent reissue are the real deal.
The other reason the YJM is trebly is cause it's based on a '72 metal panel Marshall w/ the bright cap from hell. Anything less than full up and the bright cap kicks in, causing you to jump the channels.

I had the YJM 2 years and sold it. The Satriani, for me, destroyed it.

The JVM doesn't need pedals, but turning the amp gain down and whacking it with an OD is a pretty cool sound
